Witches, Haunted Books, & Spiritualism: America's Second Salem. Whitewater, Wisconsin.

In this episode we head over to what many consider to be America's second Salem, Whitewater, Wisconsin. It was here in 1889, that Morris Pratt opened the Morris Pratt Institute, which studied spiritualism. In the late 19th century, Spiritualism had become quite popular. The institute ran until the 1930's, and was moved to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where it exists to this day. There are also tales of witches and a book that is supposedly so haunted that it is kept away from public view!
