Parasha Qorach: Numbers 16:1-18:32

This is one of the three Rebellion Parashas, where the Israelites feel free to challenge and rebel against God and His chosen ones. In this parasha, Moses and Aaron's cousin Qorach insists that he is also one of the holy ones of God, and challenges Moses with firepans and incense. God lets the people know once again Who is in charge, by opening up the earth to swallow the disbelievers, and has Aaron's staff, of all the twelve staffs brought to Him, bud with blossoms and ripe almonds.
