Meet our guest!
Mario Wälti, also known by his stage name Emm, is a Swiss corporate and M&A lawyer that also has a 20+ year career in the music industry, namely the hip-hop and rap industry. For over a decade, he has shaped the dialect hip-hop scene – known for his profound lyrics, intelligent self-irony, and socially critical reflections. His music moves between playful lightness and biting critique. He tackles the superficiality of the social media generation, the tension between fame, money, and true happiness – addressing the big questions of life. The dichotomy between his professional career and his music career and the balancing act between his legal profession and the stage is a recurring theme and reflects his dual identity as both lawyer and artist.
