BREAKING: Man who molested girl student in Bareilly caught, shot in leg by UP Police

Bareilly, UP - A man who molested a coaching student in broad daylight has been arrested after police shot him in the leg during an encounter.

The incident occurred on June 21 when Musbbir, son of Mohammad Rais from Math Kamal Nayanpur, groped a girl student going to coaching in Gandhipuram around 3:30 PM. The entire assault was captured on nearby CCTV cameras.

Based on the victim's family complaint, FIR 584/2025 was registered at Izzatnagar police station under IPC sections 78/352/351(3) and POCSO Act sections 7/8.

During a police encounter on June 22 at 10:30 PM near Kashmiri Kothi garden in Karmachari Nagar, accused Musbbir was shot in the right leg in self-defence firing. He has been hospitalised and legal proceedings are underway.

The swift action came after clear CCTV evidence identified the bike-riding molester.
