China helped create the conditions that led to the current conflict. The question now is: after seeing the U.S. demonstrate strength and resolve, particularly in this region, will Beijing be more cautious about flexing its muscles—especially regarding Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines, and other key areas?
Could this conflict continue to escalate? It's certainly possible.
The increasingly close relationship between China, Russia, and Iran has significant global implications. Xi Jinping seems to be channeling the foreign policy strategy of his idol, Mao Zedong—governing through chaos.
Putin is willing to go to war, and that posture aligns with Xi’s broader geopolitical ambitions. The partnership among Iran, China, and Russia will shape the world order and directly impact all of us.
