Nintendo Continues THIS Trend Upon the Launch of the Switch 2!

Nintendo touts the success of the Switch 2 launch, but fails to follow it up with any sales data nearly a month later. They are still in stock at many physical retailers and now that the hype has died down, there appears to be little reason to rush out and buy a new console for a mid Mario Kart installment.

Sales data once again confirms people only want to play Nintendo games on Nintendo consoles. For the 5th console in a row, customers abandoned third party release and stuck with the old, familiar franchises exclusive to the system. The strongest performer is Cyberpunk 2077, a 5 year old game that runs like garbage on an underpowered console.

It's not a flop yet, but if things don't turn around with a strong game or two releasing, it could stray towards Wii U territory in a hurry.
