READING THE BIBLE-1st Kings Chapter 19

Elijah is the prophet who passes on his duties to Elisha. That can seem confusing, but Elijah remains one of the most well-known people from the Old Testament. Jezebel has killed all the prophets of God, except for Elijah, and God is revealing Himself to the people through Elijah’s work. This is a very short chapter but reveals God working in the world of the Old Testament days.
