WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Washington, D.C., is watching closely for potential threats in response to U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

“We are the nation’s capital, and we stand at a heightened state of awareness,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said earlier this week.

It comes as Attorney General Pam Bondi works to assure lawmakers the Justice Department is proactively preventing attacks.
