Another cousin comes to the reunion Reverend George Hess He was a pastor for 43 years We've got uh I don't know if anyone's ever heard of the Dunkard Baptists Oh Okay Uh and if my information is correct don't quote me on this but my information is correct the way they got the name Dunkard was as Christians you know when we baptize someone they're- We dunk we dunk people We dunk them on their back one time down Yeah yeah And before we dunk them we say "I baptize you my brother my sister," whatever uh "in the name of the Father the Son the Holy Spirit buried in the lightness of his death-" Yeah " raised in the lightness of his resurrection." Right Dunkards they baptize you 3 times face down "I baptize you in the name of the Father-" Okay " I baptize you in the name of the Son I baptize you in the name of Holy Ghost." I think they later changed their name to Church of the Brethren meaning we had a Dunkard Baptist pastor in the family-
