Hammock Camping a 22-Mile DIY Loop Near Allegheny Front Trail | Backpacking Pennsylvania

Join Caleb and me for a fun and rugged 22-mile backpacking loop near the Allegheny Front Trail in north-central Pennsylvania. This “choose your own adventure” route was stitched together from smaller, lesser-known trails, including the final 11 miles of the AFT.

We tackled light rain, plenty of overgrown sections, and even crossed a beaver pond before calling it a night around mile 19. Hammocks were up, camp was cozy, and the forest was alive with early summer vibes.
