The only certain thing this world can offer is uncertainty. BUT, we as believers, disciples of Yeshua are certain of One thing, we have the Love, Mercy, Grace of the living GOD. HIS SON Yeshua died for our sins, and HE was resurrected to sit at the right of GOD the Father and HE sent GOD the HS to live in us.
PSA 118:6-8, The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The LORD is with me; HE is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.
The idea that Yeshua is leaving, naturally makes the disciples sad and understandably so. However, they are also showing their selfishness is the focus of their reaction. They aren’t considering Yeshua in all that is about to happen., they are only worried about being left alone.
MAT 26:31, Then Yeshua told them (the Disciples), “This very night you will all fall away on account of ME, for it is written: “ ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
