Maryland’s very own “pro-growth” poster boy, Wes Moore, just dropped a bombshell that’s about as surprising as a crab cake at a Maryland picnic. According to The Baltimore Sun, our governor is rolling out a hiring freeze, voluntary buyouts, and slashing vacant positions starting July 1. Why? To plug a $121 million hole in the state budget. One hundred twenty-one million dollars! That’s not a budget shortfall—that’s a black hole that could swallow Ocean City.
