Rise Of Industry 2 | A Capital City Builder

Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series. My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.

In this episode I am unleashing my inner Business Mogul with Rise Of Industry 2, developed by SomaSim and published by Kasedo Games, who released one of the best Warhammer 40K games, Mechanicus. Rise Of Industry 2 is a city builder game taking place in the 1980s, one of the best periods in history, with the player taking the role of an ambitious business tycoon trying to build their own Corporate Empire. You will choose from a variety of starting industries including Mining, Agriculture and Logging, then building up factories, Warehouses and Processing Plants to produce valuable goods for sale. With time and research you can break into new industries, using your acquired wealth to expand into new territories and producing more complex and profitable products. But keep in mind, you will need to satisfy the needs of your investors in order to ensure continued funding for your operation.

Rise Of Industry 2 has more of a focus on business management rather than combat, however dont let this fool you into thinking this
game is an easy experience. In order to be successful players will need to be extremely efficient with their funds, carefully building infrastructure to maximise output and minimize expenses, whilst carefully building a network of business contacts to trade commodities and favours

Rise Of Industry 2 released to mixed reviews on Steam, with players citing issues with the Construction System, a difficult to Navigate HUD and that the games overall design being less streamlined than the first Rise Of Industry Game. I have encountered many of these issues and whilst they did provide some frustration i did find myself enjoying the game despite them. I hope to check out the original Rise Of Industry so that i can make a proper comparison in the future
