I managed to resolve the issues I’d had with my Baseline modpack module, and so I launch into another Hard Survival world.

Immediately the start seems okay. A Birch forest. It could be worse. Much worse. The effort put in around the spawn point to clear a safe space to build my base and do busy work is not really up to the standard it needs to be, when I get an explodey friend paying me a visit on the second morning. Thankfully nothing of significance was lost. A series of basic exploration expeditions shows a lot of ruined portals - complete with middling treasure, and not a lot else.

It is on one of these simple, short expeditions that I meet my doom. By staring down the wrong mob. I hadn’t even had the chance to start any base building.

And yet another world committed to the bitbucket in the sky.
