it makes no difference if you fear, alien invasion, zombie attack, global viral outbreak, nukes or rising sea levels, your response, prepping, is all well and good, but you have to mitigate your expectations with your resources,
those most at risk are not the poor, they dont have anything obvious worth taking, the upper middle classes, they will be the first targeted, the true upper classes have armed security,
you have a reinforced steel door,
a consaw, can be hired for £20 and is designed to cut through concrete, so your wall would last about 5 minutes,
you live in a walled gated community,
a ladder would conquer the wall,
you have paid security,
are they paid enough to protect you?
or will they simply go and protect their own family?
you have a moat,
people can swim,
or get a dingy,
you live in a castle,
a £20 drone with a 2liter bottle of petrol flown up to drop it down your chimney would flush you out,
you have a bunker,
you have a crypt,
buried alive,

all of these are of limited use,
all depend on 2 things to work,
1, keeping it secret
2, your water supply not being contaminated
1 is doubtful
2 has already been compromised,
fracking causes water contamination via salt,
it is a legal and wide spread way to poison your water supply

buying an island is a viable option,
but for it to really work you have to choose your location to avoid future targeting by those who want what you have,
are you in an area that has oil/gas etc,
another option if you have the resources is to have your island removed from google maps
