CarTechBooks.com sent me over a copy of the "1997-2020 LS Engine Parts Interchange" book that Joseph Potak and Jefferson Bryant wrote. What a great book to have on file. It clears up the differences between the Gen III and Gen IV series of LS engines and it is more than just the tooth count on the reluctor wheel. The book is full of part numbers and specs of blocks, cylinder heads, intakes, oil pans and more. They even have a chapter devoted to the accessory drives and another for the engine management and computers. Yes you can surf the internet and get info, but often times it isn't right, or missing details. This book has it covered. It even shows how to properly eliminate DOD and VVT if desired. So, if you are looking to dive into the LS series of GM engines, or are just a engine knowledge guy head on over to www.CarTechBooks.com and order yourself a copy. It's just $32.95 and $6.95 shipping and handling. Better yet, call them up at 800-551-4754 and tell 'em Eastern Hot Rodder sent you.
