In this video we define the transient response. Exploring RC and LC circuits and looking at the interesting behavior of an ideal LC circuit. Through the use of first order and second order differential equations we mathematically define the topology of the circuit by the parameters related to particular components. Through these equations we solve for our time dependent variable such as voltage. The harmonic motion experienced by the LC circuit is better perceived after Euler's relationship is utilized in the conversion from exponential functions to trigonometric functions. The operation of the LC circuit then becomes much more intuitive.
