Sappers of the Guards Airborne Assault Don Cossack Regiment Conduct Humanitarian Demining in the Kursk Region

Engineering and sapper units of the Guards Airborne Assault Don Cossack Regiment from Feodosia of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Unit are actively engaged in humanitarian demining operations in the border areas of the Kursk Region.

The sappers are working diligently to clear liberated territories of mines and unexploded ordnance left by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including explosive devices of foreign manufacture. The Ukrainian forces have employed remote mining techniques, utilizing industrial copters and hexacopters to deploy magnetic detonators and vibration-sensitive mines.

To ensure safety during mine clearance tasks, paratroopers provide ongoing protection to the engineering reconnaissance teams against potential attacks from UAVs operated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This coordinated effort aims to secure the area for civilians and restore safety in the region.
