On the Crest of King's Mountain shots rang out and British soldier died. The same army that had run rough shod across the globe and marched with impunity around the colony unopposed by the rabble, ran into a covert force of Indian trained , wilderness honed snipers and silent assassins' and the Empire took it's first loss in the new world. Little over a year later they surrendered and headed home and a new nation was formed. Was this the first American Special Forces Unit?
