Punjab BJP Member & Punjabi Actor Hobby Dhaliwal Says one of federation said to ban Diljit Dosanjh from Indian movies, cancel his passport. Hobby questions the federation why only Diljit is targeted: Everyone listen songs on YouTube, watch Pakistani Dramas, even I listened to Pakistan singer Attaullah Khan, then I should also be banned. Dhaliwal says BJP stands in solidarity with the Diljit Dosanjh, the team has also clarified they are not releasing the movie in India, deliberately character assassination of Diljit is being done. Further, Dhaliwal praises the Diljit says when on International stage he says "Punjabi aa gye oye" makes me proud & even more proud when Diljit carries Indian Flag along with him.

BJP stands with Diljit Dosanjh, said Punjab BJP leader and actor Hobby Dhaliwal, as he slammed the call to ban Diljit and cancel his passport.“Why only Diljit? We all watch YouTube songs and Pakistani dramas. I’ve listened to Attaullah Khan too should I be banned?” He backed Diljit, saying: “He makes us proud globally when he says ‘Punjabi aa gye oye’ and carries the Indian flag. This is deliberate character assassination.

Diljjit Dosanjh is not just a celebrated artist—he's a national asset and a global ambassador of Indian culture. FWICE’s call to revoke his Indian citizenship over an inadvertent and pre-incident film shoot is not only unfair but shockingly disproportionate.

The film featuring a Pakistani actress was shot before the Phalgam attack. If there is anguish, it can be expressed through a boycott or by urging that the film not be screened in India. But attacking Diljit’s patriotism and demanding such an extreme step is simply irrational.

Just days before the Phalgam incident, the Indian cricket team played a match against Pakistan. Did FWICE or others object then?

TV news channels routinely invite Pakistani guests to boost TRPs. Should those anchors now relinquish their citizenship too?

Let’s not cheapen nationalism or weaponize patriotism. FWICE should reconsider its stance—such targeting of our own talent only weakens our moral standing.
