Muladhara Chakra—the Root Energy.

In this video, we explore the Muladhara chakra—the foundational energy centre located at the base of the spine, near the perineum. Often called the Root Chakra, Muladhara is said to govern our sense of stability, survival, and connection to the Earth.

However, this is no ordinary grounding. Within this root lies Kundalini Shakti, a coiled reservoir of creative power waiting to rise. When awakened and guided upward through the central channel (Sushumna), this force is said to ignite a profound transformation, culminating in the opening of the crown chakra at the top of the head.

In Taoist teachings, this location is referred to as the Hui Yin point—or the earthly gate. It is the dragon's tail that anchors and grounds us to the earth, but also the root of the upward energy that awakens the head centre and activates the heavenly gate located just above the head.

In the West, this practice is alluded to in the countless myths and allegories of our shared traditions. It is the Hero's journey, the lifting of the sword from the stone, the slaying of the dragon, and the formation of the philosopher's stone.
