In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Col. Rajinder Kumar Sharma in conversation with Raj Shamani.

In today’s episode, he shared what a typical day of an Indian Army man looks like. He also shared the story of a scary operation during his first year of operations. We talked about the Kargil War, one of the longest and deadliest wars in the history of India which went on for almost 2 months. He shared how he handled the situation against the Pakistan Army and India won. We also discussed how Pakistan uses its criminals against India and whether China will be a threat to India in the future and if yes then how will India handle it. We further discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the Indian Army. He narrated the captivating stories of how he got these three prestigious medals.

He shared thrilling stories of him getting a threat letter and how he and his team rescued people and caught militants and terrorists during different operations. He also shared a story of the time when he was being ambushed, but was saved by a miracle.We also discussed how they form a network of informers and how they verify the information. He shared a few difficulties that every soldier goes through and how they feel during those times.

Towards the end of this podcast, we talked about different ranks that soldiers get, why recent startups are keeping their head of security ex army officers and career opportunities for retired soldiers. We ended the podcast with discussing one learning every Indian should learn from soldiers.
