Caffeine & Chrome - Gateway Classic Cars - June 28th, 2025

I arrived about 30 minutes early at around 8:30 AM, and was able to get a decent spot. At these events, many cars arrive early to guarantee a good spot in the lot. It was already in the mid 80's at this point, and heating up to be in the high 80's later in the day. Gateway had a good turnout this day, three different Honda S2000's made appearances. One motorcycle guy came riding in asking me how much it costs to park. I told him it was a free event, so he went to find a spot to park and show off his nice bike. Another guy had his red 1975 Mustang II there, with less than 30,000 miles on it, if I remember correctly. Plus, plenty of other cars, trucks and bikes to check out!

At about 9:45 AM, I'd had enough of the heat and decided to head back home. Driving home, I passed a car that was on fire and the firetrucks were just arriving to put out the fire. Too bad I didn't have my action cam running on my Miata.
