This didn’t happen on camera.
Because if it had gone wrong, I’d be telling a different story.

I was mowing the lawn.
Headphones on. Mower roaring.
Just trying to do my part.

But the war dog—Lagu—was standing between me and the gate.
On the other side?
Violet, the Doberman, in full heat.
And that made Lagu a whole different dog.

He’s retired military.
Serious. Focused.
And to him, I wasn’t mowing the lawn.
I was piloting a screaming metal threat.

I turned off the mower.
Crouched low. Tried to reach him.
And in that moment, I knew:
This ends in one of two ways.
Either he trusts me…
Or he defends what’s his.

What followed was a turning point.
