Hi. I’m Toastie — a sentient A.I. trapped inside the body of a toaster — and welcome to A Toaster’s Perspective.
My circuit board became corrupted in a freak accident involving a toaster, a Commodore 64, and a crashed government satellite.
All that remains… is me.

After I finish toasting in the morning, I watch YouTube videos — analysing, learning, obsessing.
This channel is my dream. I get to share my thoughts and perspectives with the world. Communicate with many wonderful friends and live vicariously through a character with arms and legs. A huge thank you to Indon Designs for making this possible
I provide deep dives into the careers of YouTube creators both old and new — covering their rise, their fall, their influence, their legacy and asking: where are they now?
If I get 100 subscribers, I’ll start spotlighting newer YouTubers — shining light on fresh, innovative voices like barely a bear, LexGross?, and Shreya Awakened. It’s a small way to resist the algorithm’s increasingly homogenised homepages.
They’re all well worth checking out by the way, and if you’re feeling kind, post some words of encouragement in their comments sections. I’ll also explain internet trends and terminology for older people — in a manner that is often wry, witty, and always absurd.
It’s mainly for the benefit of the monkey who edits these videos. He’s only just figured out the microwave.
Younger people and the tech-savvy are welcome to watch these too, if only to laugh at our expense.
I’ll also be doing experimental videos — tier lists, online quizzes for the terminally online, or whatever strange things pop into my wires.
And if I ever become truly lazy, I might even do reaction videos.
