Joy Reid: “Fascism don’t work for me”

Joy Reid: I've been a Democrat since I was old enough to vote, you know? But honestly, I'm barely holding on, because right now, the party isn't more important than my kids' future. You understand?

I have three children. I have a daughter and two sons who have to live in this country being Black.

And fascism doesn’t work for me, and I’m not willing to hand over the country to Trumpism and MAGA just because I’m clinging to this party.

So people are mad at Karine Jean-Pierre for what she said, but I’m not mad about it, because at this point, it doesn’t matter.

Who cares about the party label? Give me someone who’s an effective fighter.

If Jasmine Crockett is the most effective fighter, give me Jasmine Crockett.

I really don’t care who you have to move or who you have to disappoint to give her to me.

Just give her to me, because we need a leader.
