When I'm outside the wire and have to stop for whatever reason...

STOP- Get a better picture of your environment

LOOK- What is occurring? Footprints? Fire? Bullet casings?

LISTEN- Jets overhead? Chatter? Gun fire?

SMELL- Fuel? Smoke? Animals (farm?)

SLLS is a soft skill that can be used in all situations.
