The lying cable lateral raise is probably the king of side delt exercises. I get the most burn for aure. Crossing the cables allows for amazing stretch at the bottom of the rep (great for joint health and building bigger muscles). Lying on the ground or a bench is also more stable than standing and you can get slightly greater power output. It feels better than lying on your side dumbbell lateral raises as well. Placing the Cable handle straps on your wrists increases tension, and for some reason you can do more without worrying about holding the handles in your hands.
