Nursing Student Sandhya Chaudhary Murdered in Broad Daylight as Staff Watch Silently

Narsinghpur, MP – In a chilling case that has stunned Madhya Pradesh, 19-year-old nursing student Sandhya Chaudhary was brutally murdered inside the emergency unit of Narsinghpur District Hospital on June 27, 2025. The attacker, her boyfriend Abhishek Koshti, slit her throat in full public view while hospital staff, security guards, and bystanders stood by and did nothing.

The attack occurred around 2:30 pm outside Room 22 of the trauma centre. CCTV footage and a bystander's video show Koshti slapping Sandhya, pinning her down, and slashing her throat with a knife—all while dozens watched. The horrifying act lasted nearly 10 minutes. A nurse who tried to intervene was threatened with death.

Despite being inside a hospital, no help was provided. Sandhya bled to death on the spot. Koshti fled after a failed suicide attempt but was arrested within the hour.

The two had known each other for over two years. Police said Koshti accused Sandhya of "cheating" and had planned the murder in advance.

The incident sparked massive outrage. Sandhya’s family blocked roads demanding justice. Hospital officials admitted to grave security lapses. Two guards were posted at the trauma centre but failed to stop the attacker.

The viral video has intensified public anger, raising urgent questions about safety in public institutions and the accountability of on-duty staff.
