Miller literally a card carrying Communist who wrote his famous work in the middle of the 50's HUAC/McCarthy hearings. I can confirm his point about the education system because I was assigned all those books, one after the other, in my junior or senior year I forget which, but I remember the class. Didn't read any of them.
