The Art of Agreement; Aligning with God's Perspectives | Kingdom Mysteries | Jul 2, 2025 | CR

You must understand that your spiritual journey has a specific destination: becoming a king of righteousness, operating in what Scripture calls the Melchizedek priesthood. This isn't about holding a church office - it's about reaching complete agreement with God's perspectives, judgments, and ways of seeing reality. When you achieve this alignment, you become someone who can judge righteously because you're seeing through God's eyes rather than your own limited human understanding.
Your transformation begins with mastering six foundational principles that Scripture calls the "elementary principles of Christ" or "first principles of the oracles of God." These aren't advanced teachings - they're the spiritual milk that every believer should have conquered from the beginning. Yet most Christians remain stuck here because they've never learned the crucial skill of actually hearing God's word.
Here's what you must grasp: faith is not a feeling or a mental agreement - faith is motion toward God. The Hebrew word "shama" means both hearing and obeying, revealing that you haven't truly heard God's word until you're compelled to act on it. When someone teaches about humility and you find yourself actively looking for opportunities to practice it, that's evidence you heard. When you sit through a powerful sermon but feel no urge to change anything about your behavior, you only heard with your physical ears - your spiritual ears remained closed.
The process works like this: First comes repentance from dead works - you must turn away from where you're currently standing and give God your attention. Then comes faith toward God - you move in His direction, drawn by what He's showing you. Next is the baptism of doctrine, where you immerse yourself completely in God's word about that specific area, allowing Scripture to wash away your old perspectives and mindsets. As you dive deep into God's counsel, His Spirit rests upon you (the laying on of hands), mortifying everything in you that contradicts His truth. This results in resurrection of the dead - areas of your life that were spiritually lifeless suddenly come alive with God's power. Finally, you gain the ability to make eternal judgments - seeing and deciding from God's perspective rather than your own.
However, your greatest enemy in this process is what Scripture calls the "superfluity of naughtiness" - an overflow of worldliness that fills your heart like birds stealing seed from a wayside path. Entertainment, social media, constant news consumption, and the general spirit of this age create a charge in your heart that invites demonic interference with God's word. When you try to pray or study Scripture while your heart is charged with worldly content, you'll find yourself distracted, thinking about movies, social media, or earthly concerns instead of engaging with God.
This is why prayer and fasting become essential - not as religious exercises, but as practical tools to clear away the static that prevents you from hearing God clearly. Fasting means focusing only on God's word, while praying means actively engaging with what He's saying. When you consecrate yourself this way, you create space for God's word to actually penetrate your heart rather than just hitting your intellectual understanding.
You must move beyond dependence on spiritual gifts alone. While gifts are wonderful and can operate without much personal development, faith requires that God's word has genuinely transformed your understanding and desires. When you minister healing through faith rather than just gifting, you're operating from your agreement with God's revealed truth rather than waiting for an anointing to fall. This makes you more consistent and effective because you're functioning from established conviction rather than hoping for a spiritual experience.
Most believers remain on spiritual milk because they've never learned to hear past the noise in their hearts. They attend church, get excited during worship, shout "amen" during the sermon, but by the time they reach the parking lot, the word has been stolen by the cares and distractions of life. The mark of spiritual maturity is when God's word creates such deep conviction in you that you cannot help but live it out, when His truth becomes so real that agreeing with anything else becomes impossible.
Your assignment is clear: identify the areas where you're not in agreement with God, immerse yourself in His word about those areas, consecrate yourself through prayer and fasting to remove worldly interference, and persist until His truth becomes your functional reality. This is how you graduate from being a hearer of the word to becoming a doer - from spiritual infancy to the mastery of righteousness that defines the Melchizedek priesthood.
