Bryan Kohberger's former professor said she is afraid some of the classes she taught potentially inspired him to carry out the murders of four University of Idaho students, according to a report.

Kohberger on Wednesday pleaded guilty to the deadly stabbings of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves inside an off-campus home on Nov. 13, 2022.

Kohberger, who was a criminal justice graduate student at nearby Washington State University, admitted to the killings before entering a formal guilty plea in a deal with prosecutors that allows him to avoid the death penalty, though the motive remains unclear. He had been set to go to trial in August.

“We are beyond furious at the State of Idaho," the Goncalves family wrote in a Facebook post. "They have failed us. Please give us some time. This was very unexpected.”
