HOW TO RESTORE MOTORCYCLE EXHAUST! XR600R (TIPS AND TRICKS)

I took a beat-up FMF exhaust off a 1990s XR600R—dented, scratched, rusted—and rebuilt it from the ground up.
No new parts. Just time, polish, sandpaper, and a stubborn refusal to give up on old junk.

What started as a casual clean-up turned into full-blown restoration madness. I gutted the internals, sanded down deep gouges, handed it off to a pro polisher in Fort Worth, and ended up with something better than factory.

This wasn’t practical. It wasn’t fast. But it was worth it.
Now it’s ready to roar on a rebuilt XR600R.

Another piece of forgotten gear, brought back from the dead.
