Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' passes the House of Representatives

US President Donald Trump's signature tax-cut and spending policy, his "Big Beautiful Bill", narrowly passed the House of Representatives.

The sweeping 900-page piece of legislation is the cornerstone of the US President's agenda for his second term.

It includes an extension of tax cuts, increased funding for immigration, and cuts to social safety net programs such as Medicaid, which provides health insurance to millions of Americans.

There had been a hint of rebellion from some Republicans who were concerned about the cost to the budget, which will increase the debt ceiling by $5 trillion.
