Today, as we celebrate 249 years of independence, we pause to honor and remember all those who gave so much to secure the freedom and promise of the United States of America.

From the earliest patriots who dared to dream of a nation founded on liberty, to every generation that has defended that vision, their courage has shaped the course of our history and strengthened the ideals we hold dear.

May we never take for granted the blessings of freedom, nor forget the sacrifices that made our independence possible.

We celebrate the spirit of a people who rose up to claim their destiny, and we honor the legacy they entrusted to us.
