Happy The Hut Is Clean!

Every month I clean out al l the bedding from the nests and rake up the straw on the ground. Little boxes and houses get cleaned too. Then, I sprinkle 1st Saturday Lime everywhere in the nests and on the ground and then cover with either straw and/or pine shavings. I also add a bit of diatomaceous earth into their food bowls to help with intestinal parasites and bugs. I ran out of energy this morning, so I will treat their dust baths tomorrow. I also cut a bunch of peppermint and wipe down the perches. It's all smelly fresh in there now.
