Various sources have confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor is slated to play the main antagonist in Dhoom 4, and the film will be a complete reboot of the franchise. It has also been announced that two younger male actors will be cast in the roles of the two police friends.
Filming for Dhoom 4 is planned to begin in late 2025 or early 2026, with a likely release in 2027. Aditya Chopra (producer) and Sridhar Raghavan (screenwriter) are working on the story and script, and Ayan Mukerji is being considered as the primary director.
Therefore, although Abhishek Bachchan played a significant role in the first three Dhoom installments, it appears he will not be part of the fourth film.
