Like it or not, if you profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you have a target on your back from the enemy! Satan wants to get as many souls to go to Hell with him just because he wants to see God's creation punished like him. Once we accept the free gift of salvation, we become born again and at that point no longer under Satan's power. That also means that he will try everything he can to make us ineffective for God's Kingdom.
