In the grip of a historic drought, the waters of Sau Reservoir receded, unveiling the long-submerged village of Sant Romà de Sau. Stone by stone, the 11th-century Romanesque church emerged, its bell tower piercing the dry air, standing sentinel over the exposed cemetery and the skeletal remains of the past. Framed by the silent mountains, this haunting landscape tells a story of time, memory, and the impermanence of human endeavors. Captured during a period when the reservoir's water level dropped below 5%, this footage offers a rare glimpse into a world usually hidden beneath the surface.
