The use of dehumanizing language can influence others to view a targeted group as less human or less deserving of humane treatment. Dismissal or invalidation of male experiences: Certain linguistic trends or social behaviors, like the use of terms such as "mansplain," are seen by some as dismissive or invalidating of men's contributions or attempts to engage in dialogue, potentially leading to a sense of dehumanization.
