Chenango County Sheriff's Office Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that occurred on the evening of July 4, 2025.

The incident took place at approximately 8:45 PM on State Highway 80 near the Rogers Conservation Center in the Town of Sherburne.

Authorities are seeking information on a suspect vehicle described as a newer black Ram crew cab pickup truck with black rims and noticeable damage to the front passenger-side area.
