When Meghan and Kate agree on fashion choices

Despite all the differences between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's dressing styles, from Kate's classic formality to Meghan's relaxed, modern vibe, the two seem to agree on one particular choice of clothing: a striped blouse.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, wore one of her favorite striped shirts again in a video she posted on her Instagram to mark American Independence Day. The shirt is a Ralph Lauren design that she previously wore alongside Kate Middleton at Wimbledon in 2018, the iconic meeting that is known as the first date between the two after Meghan and Harry married.

At the time, Meghan's blue and white dress sold out in less than 24 hours. Apparently, the love for stripes continued on both sides. Last week, Kate was also seen wearing a similar blouse, a brown striped shirt by By Ralph Lauren, paired with a cream single-breasted jacket.

Meghan also wore her striped blue blouse again at this year's Fourth of July bash in Montecito. Those classic lines seem to be one of the few commonalities between the two styles, despite the occasional differences.
