OPERATION SHIELD 2025: OBSERVE Army Paratroopers FROM 5 NATIONS Achieve Objectives!

U.S. Army paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade, in collaboration with the Croatian Air Defense Regiment, Slovenian Army, French Armed Forces, and British Army, engage in target acquisition training during Operation Shield 2025 in Pula, Croatia on April 11, 2025. This yearly exercise is designed to enhance the air defense capabilities of Croatia, uniting units from the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Croatian Air Defense Regiment, Slovenian Army, French Armed Forces, and British Army for cooperative training on air defense strategies and protocols. The 173rd Airborne Brigade serves as the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, offering rapidly deployable forces to the areas of responsibility of the United States European, African, and Central Command.
