The Fake Psychic Turned Real Predator | James Hydrick | History in the Dark

James Hydrick is a man who back in the early 80's rose to some limited fame because he claimed to have psychic powers. Hydrick was an abused kid with a criminal record, but he was a legitimate karate expert and in his case his supernatural abilities manifested by allowing him to move objects with his mind. On national television he demonstrated how he could make a pencil spin or a book's pages turn without touch them. It was also on national television where he was called out by James Randi who thoroughly debunked Hydrick's abilities. Had the story ended there it wouldn't be the worst thing someone ever did. But sadly, things would take a horrifically dark turn and Hydrick would be sent back to prison.
