Do you ever feel like your body has a mind of its own, especially when you're trying to relax or sleep? For me, that's the reality of living with Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD) and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). PLMD means my limbs move involuntarily during sleep, a dance I'm completely unaware of.

RLS brings an irresistible urge to move my legs when I'm still, accompanied by sensations that are hard to describe – a creeping, tugging feeling that demands I pace and shift constantly. The frustration of restless nights and the exhaustion of daytime fatigue can be overwhelming. If you can relate, know that you're not alone.

Recently, I took a step towards understanding my sleep disturbances by using a motion camera to monitor my nights. It's a small step, but it represents hope – the hope that by understanding these invisible challenges, we can find paths towards better sleep and a brighter, more energized life.
