Why Is Edgar Berlanga a Slight Underdog in His Hometown?

This is fight week. Edgar Berlanga is had a meet and greet in at Cops & Kids Boxing located at 667 East 34th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11203. There giving away tickets for the fight.

Hamzah Sheeraz spoke to people in the streets of Brooklyn. He asked the Brooklynites have they heard of Edgar Berlanga, and they said no. Berlanga is a legend in his own mind.

The Puerto Rican Assassin is on a mission to prove the critics wrong. Hopefully, my dawg Berlanga can pull off the upset. Sheeraz is a slight favorite at -135 according to Draft Kings.

Shakur Stevenson has an opportunity to quiet his critics by putting on a boxing clinic against William Zepeda. I have no idea if this fight is selling. However, this fight is expected to lose money.

I don't care. Why? Because it's not me that's losing money, it's Turki Alashikh. If you are an American fighter, and you have someone that's willing to overpay you to fight, you'll be a fool not to take the money.

The real Puerto Rican Assassin, Subriel Matias (22-2-0) will face off against Alberto Puello for Puello’s WBC junior welterweight title. David Morrell will face ff against Iman Khataev at Light Heavyweight.

The matchups look pretty good on paper. We'll see if the fight card actually pans out to be a stud, or a dud. Why do you think Edgar Berlanga is a betting underdog with Las Vegas and Draft Kings?
