When Love Isn't Enough

“Are you sure you’ll always love me… just as I am?”

I asked Jeff that the other day.
He kind of sighed and said, “Debbie… I’m not that guy.”

That guy who changes his mind.
That guy who walks away.
That guy who needs you to perform to stay.

But here’s the truth—I still ask sometimes.
Not because I don’t believe him…
But because my brain doesn’t always believe him.

This is what ROCD—Relationship Obsessive Compulsive Disorder—can look like.

It’s the voice that questions things that aren’t wrong.
It’s the part of you that needs constant reassurance.
It’s the fear that maybe you married the wrong person—even when everything is fine.

If you’ve ever found yourself overthinking the relationship more than you’re enjoying it…

If you’ve asked, “Do they really love me?” even after they’ve told you a hundred times…

If you feel guilty for not trusting, even though you want to…

You’re not crazy. And you’re not alone.

Inside Marriage in Bloom, we help couples identify the unspoken fears and invisible patterns—like ROCD—that keep love feeling unsafe, even when it’s genuine.
