Call

How marvellous it is to be connected! Although we are in different parts of the world, different time zones, different histories, family lineages, traditions and cultures, we still respond to the call. We find each other to recognise That which is knocking at the door. It pulls us in and says, “Hello.”

It invites us to fully embody being alive, to participate fully in life and to be fully engaged with life.

We recognise ourselves and the Other—the radically different Unknown—and that Unnameable touches each of us in a different way. Sometimes it erupts as a gentle touch, like a feather. Sometimes it’s a very bright light, blinding in its intensity. Sometimes it is sound. For some, it’s the sound of silence: despite all the noise, we suddenly become aware—yes, self-aware and also aware of.

From there, we can take the next step, which is being with, the communion.
