HNLMS Tromp Launches Harpoon Missile During SINKEX – RIMPAC 2024

PACIFIC OCEAN – July 18, 2024

Royal Netherlands Navy frigate HNLMS Tromp (F803), a De Zeven Provinciën-class warship, launches a Harpoon missile during a live-fire SINKEX (sinking exercise) as part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. The precision strike highlights allied naval firepower and coordinated maritime warfare capabilities.

RIMPAC 2024 brings together 29 nations, 40 surface ships, 3 submarines, 14 national land forces, over 150 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel in the world’s largest international maritime exercise. Held around the Hawaiian Islands from June 27 to August 1, RIMPAC strengthens multinational interoperability and secures critical global sea lanes.
