I ran barefoot in pajamas to get my car, which he’d left at a friend’s house down the road, only to find it out of gas—that’s why he took the bike. That night, I heard his motorbike stop, thinking he was at a friend’s, but he was lying dead on the cold ground all night, his blood pooling beneath him. Now, I’m haunted by relentless flashbacks, vivid images of my son lifeless on the grass, his body still and broken, searing into my mind at unexpected moments, a torment I can’t escape. That’s the image I’ll carry forever. Then, when my stress leave ended, your mandates forced me to get two Pfizer shots to return to work, and at 49, I developed polymyalgia rheumatica and rheumatoid arthritis. I’ve lost all trust in the healthcare system and my doctor because of you. I pray karma catches up with you—you’re despicable monsters!
